Matt Supramaniam, Tenor
Matt began singing at 11 when he was press-ganged into the Choir of St John’s College, Cambridge. This has become a recurring theme, as he was later cajoled into spending two years sporting a buzz cut, wearing khaki, and foraging in South-East Asian jungles.
Matt has recently left King’s, Cambridge, having been a choral scholar then lay clerk there. With King's, he featured as a soloist in venues including the Concertgebouw, the Barbican, Usher Hall, and the Sydney Opera House, as well as on broadcasts and recordings. He was also the Musical Director of The King's Men, and maintains a rabid obsession with close-harmony music.
Matt has since sung major liturgical services at Westminster Cathedral and the Brompton Oratory, has performed with the Ex Cathedra Consort, and has been awarded a Voces8 Scholarship. Matt occasionally pens terrible poetry and is composing the soundtrack to a short-film being released in 2026.
Alasdair Austin, Countertenor
Alasdair is a member of The Gesualdo Six. He made his debut with the ensemble with a BBC Prom and has since enjoyed a varied schedule taking a range of domestic and international concerts including the USA, Japan, China, Canada and regularly across Europe. Outside of the group Alasdair performs regularly as an oratorio soloist, most recently including Bach’s St John Passio and Handel’s Samson and Messiah. Alasdair studied as an undergraduate at Cambridge University where he sung with St John’s College Choir. With the University Opera Society he starred as Damon in Handel's Acis and Galatea, The Spirit in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas and Athamas in Handel’s Semele. Whilst a chorister at Jesus College, Cambridge, he was given the opportunity to perform as Harry in English Touring Opera’s production of Albert Herring and as Cobweb in Shadwell Opera's production of Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Tom Pickard, Baritone
Originally from Port St Mary in the Isle of Man, Tom began his singing journey as a chorister in the Choir of King’s College Cambridge. He was awarded a music scholarship at Eton College, before returning to King’s College Cambridge as a Choral Scholar, to read for a degree in modern languages. Graduating in 2024, Tom has stayed on at King’s as a lay clerk, and works in the Boarding House of King’s College School alongside his singing commitments in the College Choir.

He has also recently completed a PhD in the evolutionary dynamics of cancer, alongside singing as a lay clerk with the choir of St John’s College, Cambridge.
